About the Upper Bay Charter Captains Association

The Upper Bay Charter Captains Association supports the needs of charter captains fishing the upper Chesapeake Bay. By becoming a member of the association, you will be listed in the organizations web page and brochure.  Membership will give you access to over 90 upper bay captains, allowing you to gather and share fishing, reports, techniques, locations, and tackle. At the monthly meetings, you will have the opportunity to present your views on fishing issues that affect your operation, and, if the membership believes this information should be presented to the appropriate government agency, the organization will do  so. Your membership will help you to get more business, and catch more fish.

Mission Statement: Our primary focus is to support the needs of Charter Boat Captains and operators offering fishing opportunities in the Upper Chesapeake Bay region and the promotion of World Class fishing opportunities in the Chesapeake Bay.

The Upper Bay Charter Captains Association serves as the liaison between our members and  other Chesapeake Bay stakeholders to improve our business opportunities and helping to protect the Chesapeake Bay region.  Other Chesapeake stakeholders include government agencies, citizens and member organizations such as the Maryland Charter Assoc. Members include Licensed Charter Boat Captains and Guides primarily located in the Upper Chesapeake Bay regions of Maryland.

The Upper Bay Charter Captains Association supports and protects legislative and polical advocacy for the protection of our environmental and legislative matters that affect our members and business opportunites.

The Upper Bay Charter Captains Association helps
generate economic benefits to the membership through promotion of our Charter Boat services and through the power of collaboration and partnerships with other related business and government organizations.

The Upper Bay Charter Captains Association encourages people to visit our great destination and to experience the products and services offered by our members and affiliates in the Charter Boat Fishing Industry.

The Upper Bay Charter Captains Association strives to improve our members business services with the necessary tools and information to make their services competitive in the marketplace.

Our vision is for all members to support the protection of the Chesapeake Bay resources for the Charter Boat industry because our members understand how the economic benefits generated - jobs and taxes - improve their quality of life.
